How do you detect dead listings?
Two ways: visitors can report dead links with one click (after 3 reports, a listing is flagged as 'Possibly dead'), and we probe listing URLs to verify they're still live. Confirmed dead listings are hidden from browse and search.
What happens if my product goes down temporarily?
A listing is only hidden after 3 reports or confirmed dead status. Temporary downtime won't get your listing removed. You can also mark your listing as 'maintenance mode' from your dashboard.
Can I relist a product that was marked dead?
Yes. If your product comes back online, you can request a relisting from your dashboard. We'll verify it's live and restore it.
Why don't other directories do this?
Most directories have no incentive to remove dead listings — more listings means more pages means more ad revenue. We prioritize quality over quantity. A clean directory is more useful for everyone.
